In this Episode I discuss the first Community Direct of 2026. There were some highlights but in general this was a very disappointing 40 minutes. Most of it was repeating what has already been said and the Rare team seems confused and more lost than ever before. They are walking down roads of mistakes they've already made in the past and painting it as something new. I hope we see something exciting coming that's currently "secret" but the more and more time that passes, I feel like there isn't a focus or vision of the future to Sea of Thieves.

We saw an abrupt end to Season 18 with a 2 week Act to close out the Season. Personally I felt that Act 3 was the best Act they have done in a long while as the Ashen Garrisons were awesome! I think Rare just wanted to get our of the fires of hell that was Season 18 and move on to greener pastures, but wait! hold my beer! Season 19 is already off to a bumpy start, full of issues, community outrage and drama, so let's talk about it!

In this episode I look at my experience of Season 18 and the challenges I have with the design choices which have been made. There was a few good and cool features of Season 18 but those were overshadowed by laziness in the over arching direction of the Season. I then look ahead at Season 19 and what we should expect over the next 3 Months as Rare struggles to stop the drowning of their flag ship game.

In this episode I look at the recent Sea of Thieve podcast, Development update and article from Sea of Thieves' website which talked about the Season 16 survey sent out to players. I look at the numbers provided and give my thoughts on them along with my thoughts on Rare's takeaways from the survey which I don't think are exactly correct. I also talk about the delay is Season 18 and the new changes coming to Act 3 of Season 17 as it is being extended for at least 1 more month.
